Léko Pro supports its members in this process of continuous improvement by combining technical innovation, financial support, and shared expertise to turn regulatory constraints into opportunities for progress.
A Comprehensive Approach to Eco-Design
Eco-design aims to incorporate environmental considerations right from the packaging development phase. This approach makes it possible to address the following simultaneously:

Léko Score
A free tool for assessing the recyclability of packaging, aligned with the European RecyClass (plastics) and 4evergreen (cardboard) standards, will soon be available for commercial packaging.
Léko Academy
An online training platform offering webinars, technical tours, and reference materials on innovations and best practices;
Prevention and Eco-Design Plan (PPE)
Personalized support to define concrete goals and actions tailored to different industries;
One-on-one support
Collaboration with Léko Pro’s technical teams to address the specific challenges of each company.
Financial support for eco-design, recycling, and R&D
Léko Pro allocates 2% of its contributions to funding research and development projects aimed at improving the environmental performance of commercial packaging. As such, calls for proposals will be issued regularly to support this mission of the eco-organization.
Supported projects may focus on reducing the use of non-renewable resources, streamlining and optimizing packaging formats, improving collection and sorting techniques, increasing the use of recycled materials, etc.
These calls for proposals are intended for marketers, packaging manufacturers, waste management operators, recyclers, and research organizations.
Innovation and European Collaboration
Léko Pro draws on the expertise of the international Reclay Group to bring a European perspective to eco-design challenges. This collaboration provides access to the latest technical innovations developed in other European countries, participation in standardization efforts led by RecyClass and 4evergreen, the sharing of feedback on sustainable packaging solutions deployed internationally, and the ability to anticipate changes in European regulations, particularly those related to the PPWR regulation.
