Get ready for the EPR Professional Packaging
Starting in July 2026, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) will apply to professional packaging. If your company places packaging on the market for use in a B2B context (transportation, logistics, manufacturing, food service, healthcare, distribution, etc.), this likely applies to you.
As soon as this new EPR takes effect, all companies placing packaging on the market for professional use (B2B) must join an eco-organization approved by the French government, such as Léko Pro, or establish an individual system approved by the government.
This regulation stems from the AGEC Act (Anti-Waste for a Circular Economy) and aims to improve the prevention, reuse, and recycling of professional packaging. Household packaging sold to consumers, on the other hand, falls under the existing EPR Household Packaging system and is therefore not affected.
Léko Pro, your partner for simple and effective compliance
Léko Pro is certified for the professional packaging sector, and its sister company, Léko, is certified for the household packaging sector.
This dual capability allows marketers—who manage both B2C and B2B transactions—to consolidate their processes and simplify their reporting through the single MyLéko platform.
With the MyLéko tool, you can manage both types of packaging (household and professional) in a single, centralized location: membership contracts, your annual market placement reports, and your eco-contribution billing.
How can you ensure compliance with French regulations?
