Our Role at the Heart of the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Program for Professional Packaging
Léko Pro is an eco-organization accredited by the French government to implement the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program for professional packaging. We help fund and coordinate initiatives related to the prevention, collection, reuse, sorting, and recycling of packaging used in professional activities.
We work alongside companies to improve the industry’s environmental performance and help them reduce the environmental impact of their professional packaging.
Our missions are reflected in seven key priorities:
Reduce the amount of packaging placed on the market by promoting reusable solutions and reduction at the source
Meet the recycling targets set for each material: wood, cardboard, plastic, metal, glass, etc.
Develop new sorting, collection, and reuse systems tailored to the realities of professional waste streams
Simplify reporting requirements for market operators using intuitive digital tools such as MyLéko
Ensure transparent and equitable funding for collection, sorting, and recycling efforts
Inform, educate, and raise awareness among all circular economy and waste prevention actors
Provide our members with genuine expertise by offering them training on eco-design, reuse, sorting, and recycling through our Léko Academy platform
MyLéko, a one-stop tool: simplicity and consistency
Our goal is to offer you a simple compliance process, effective recycling, and a measurable environmental impact. To help you manage all your reporting obligations, we provide our members with a one-stop tool for managing all packaging streams, whether household packaging through Léko or professional packaging through Léko Pro.
Our members can find their Unique Identification Number (IDU) for the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program for Household Packaging and/or the EPR program for Professional Packaging on MyLéko. The IDU serves as proof that the member is in compliance and is registered in the ADEME database.
This shared approach enables centralized management of all procedures (registration, declaration, billing, and reporting), standardization of processes, and dedicated points of contact.
The Léko Academy: Learning to Take Better Action
In light of the accelerating pace of regulatory changes and new sustainability challenges, our members have access to the Léko Academy, a learning and knowledge-sharing platform dedicated to helping market operators build their skills.
Our goal is to give every company the tools it needs to turn regulatory requirements into an opportunity for continuous improvement.
